How to Stay Fit All Summer Long

With the warmer weather and barbecue season in full swing, it’s easy to let your diet slip. Fortunately, with a few easy tricks, you can stay fit all summer long. Here’s how:

Load Up on Yummy (but Nutritious) Snacks

You can enjoy yummy snacks and still lose the weight. When you have healthy snacks on hand, you’re less likely to reach for a bag of potato chips. If you have plans to attend a 4th of July barbecue, try one of our many meal replacement options so you can stick to your weight loss routine. Or, if you’re on the go and need a quick snack to hold you over, protein bars are a great way to get the protein you need.

Stay Active

Exercise can actually be a lot of fun, especially when you take advantage of the beautiful weather and the great outdoors. Even a 20 minute walk can do your body a lot of good. Take every opportunity you can to get in extra steps each day – gab parking spot that’s further away or take the stairs instead of the elevator. If you’re feeling extra adventuroustry a hike in your local areatake up bike riding, or do a few laps in the pool. Every little bit of movement counts!

Find a Buddy

If you want to get in shape and stay that way – you’re not alone! Losing the weight isn’t always easy which is why you need a support system to encourage you along the way. Find a friend who can accompany you on walks and motivate you on the days you don’t feel you’re very best.

Water, Water, and More Water!

Stay hydrated, especially in the hot summer monthsto keep your metabolism going strong. Drinking lots of water can actually act as a natural appetite suppressor because it makes your body feel more fullIf plain water just isn’t your thing, mix it up with a lemon slice or fresh mint from the garden.
